You could just follow the circuit and compare it to the schematic. That is what I did when I burned up several traces accidentally.

The problem seems to be a leaky throttle shaft. I have acquired a set of bushings to rebuild the carb and will see what happens.

Yes, I found that also and saved it. I also found a source for the bushings at the cost was quite reasonable. $11.70 including postage.

I just did some extensive research on this and I am now convinced that the problem is, indeed, a need for rebushing the throttle shaft. I checked the old Q-Jet and it has a loose throttle shaft also ...

I have gone through the paper by Lars Grimsrud on tuning the Q-Jet using the information on the primarys to tune my Dual-Jet. Everything is set up the way it should be but I am not sure the jet/meter ...
