| guess i forgot to post a fix to this problem ..after lots of searching and checking and replacing of random componets found out that it just needed a new coil, guess it just wasnt getting enough spark ... |

Did you check the fuel pump and cam alignment on the push arm? Also is it an electric choke? That might cause some issues if the wiring is bad.
nah it was just a bad coil. and its a manual choke an ... |

| ok i figured it out. i had tapped on the little pin before but not very hard. so i tapped it a little harder and it popped out eventually. |

ok so i finally found the problem ...it turned out not to be anything wrong with the carb which i figured since it was fine three days before
so it turns out that all it was, was the coil was goin ... |

That's true and the stock float in a Q-jet is made of some kind of composite plastic stuff that always develops a pinhole leak and sinks.

| HAVE YOU CHECKED THE FLOAT LEVEL??? Floats do go bad you know! A piece of dirt can get lodged in the seat. Do yourself a favor, just check the float / needle & seat, it will take you 10 min. at ... |

| the throttle valve cable will not cause a miss fire if you dropped the crossmember to lower the rear of tranny when you installed the shifter then you may have damaged the dist cap or rotor if not ck ... |
