Can't seem to get the bushings on a new set of end links to compress enough to get the nut started. Should the car be jacked with the tires suspended or should the car be up on ramps for this repair? ...

Mad Yes that's a good price...if it were the right part!
The tabs didn't line up unless I rotated the sending unit 180 degrees which would point the fuel line in the wrong direction...backwards..

Thanks for all your help. E-bay was a dead end and opg's part @ about $180 was on back order for the next 4 weeks. Summit did some digging and found one in stock for $99. It'll be here in a couple day ...

I just pulled the tank on my '84 Elk.
How do I tell the gallon capacity?
Someone once mentioned if the sending unit is working, re-use it.
My gauge at full reads between half and 3/4 tank so I neve ...

Where can I look for a new sending unit for my '84 Elky.
I need to get it asap. Unless anyone thinks it'd be ok to re-use the old one and just replace the seal and fuel lines..
Any thoughts or recom ...
