What are your heads intake and car setup? Headers and exhaust? What will you be driving it like? If your car is an auto, do you plan on changing torque converter and gears? _________________ It's not the prettiest, but it's all mine....

Its pretty much a stock 350 with stock heads, 650 cfm holly carb, headman headers, dual flowmaster exhaust. its a daily driver. I plan on changing the transmission and rear end gears in the future but not anytime soon.

You might wanna wait until you change heads then. You could probably just go with a performer or equivalent in lift and duration specs from another company, but anything bigger than that lift-wise would probably start walking the rocker studs out of their seats after awhile, which isn't a good thing. Also, your stock gears and torque converter would probably still run okay with that cam, but much larger and you're asking for a dog off the line. _________________ It's not the prettiest, but it's all mine....

If you stay under ½" lift on the Cam you should be OK. I installed a Cam with .462/.469 lift, and didn't change the studs. It's not a radical Cam, but it's better than stock.
If you go over ½" lift, you run the chance of the rocker studs pulling out of the head like 66trar was talking about. Although changing to screw-in studs isn't a bad idea anyway, it's cheap insurance. _________________ My "Hell Camino" Homepage

Any of the "RV" type cams from the major cam makers are probably ideal for your current setup----adds a nice amount of bottom end torque and doesn't limit the high rpm breathing too much--if you are wanting a lot of lope this is not for you but it will improve the drivability a ton.............Dan _________________ I don't think I have ever had a car that was "FINISHED"........unless it was totaled.
