I'm getting ready to switch my AC system from R12 to R134 and from what I've read and been advised I need to get a new accumulator.
So, I started looking at prices on the web from several different parts store chains and noticed the prices are all over the board! I've seen them as low as $11=12 range to as high as $122 and everywhere in between, all supposedly to fit my El Camino.
Does anyone know why there is such a wide range in price for this item and whats the difference in a cheaply priced one and an expensive one?
I mean I just want one that does what its supposed to do without overpaying or underpaying for it.
What price should I expect to pay for one of these?

You should only be paying around $30 for one. I've seen the Four Seaons universal pieces where you have to buy a seperate tube for the return hose. The one above is an exact fit.
