Hey guys, I live over in Fairhaven, Ma. which is located next to (Egads, dare I say it?) New Bedford. Now I've been chatting with the N. Fairhaven Improvement Asc. who are the folks that put on the 'Made in the Shade Car Show'. I've got to meet with the board again soon to discuss getting an El Camino class in the show, and believe it would take at least 8 Elks to justify it. So I'd appreciate hearing from you guys on any potential interest in doing this show.
This show is set in a park, and has a decent turnout, with a low of maybe 225 cars, and as many as 450. And is usually the last weekend in July. Typical show, activities for the kids, burgers etc.
I realize no one can predict a year from now, but would like to try to gauge 'potential' interest.
Hey, another show with an 'Elky' class can only be a good thing right? _________________ Mark

Nice Work Mark !
I have done this show with Mark for the past two years (couldn't make it this year) and it is a good - well run show.
Of course it would be a much better show with and Elky class
Mark there is me and you and that orange 79 low-rider from Fall River that are "always" there so thats only 5 more and I am sure we could muster 5 more ----- you should tell them that we can get 8 !
I'll try to make it there. We're half way there now. Only need four more to commit. I'm sure we'll have a whale of a time . _________________ Ernie

Thanks Tommy. I've been talking to a couple other local Elk owners, and now believe we would have 3 or 4 'locals' and with the response so far, it does seem like we may be able make this happen.
Only other thing that was needed was a class sponser, and I have two good solid businesses already very interested and willing to commit right now. See, Elkys are so cool, they're already fighting to sponser us...
Ernie-Yes, sure about the 'whale' part anyhow, that wasn't lost on me.
The rest of you guys that may be interested, feel free to chime in anytime, so I keep the Fhn. board up to date. Thanks.
