My fuel line doesn't seem to exist. It comes out in the engine compartment but isn't anywhere to be found at the gas tank. I was wondering if there was somewhere or someone I could get the metal line from. I also need the mounting bands for the gas tank. One is missing (looks like it rusted right off) and I might as well replace the other while I'm at it. I should probably drop the tank and check it anyhow considering what condition some parts of the car are in anyhow. Anyway, can you buy those bands at an auto parts store? I found a gas tank brace on paddock but that was it. It doesn't even really matter if that's the right part because they were were $40 apiece... The fuel lines at the other places seemed pretty expensive. If anyone has any of this stuff used in an elky they're parting out, I'd gladly take them off your hands. _________________ ~Jake Stazewski

The PN for the straps at Paddock is "ST39", and they run $32.95 each. I got my straps from Memory Lane, and they were quite a bit less. These parts are hard to find and they have a tendancy to rust away, so they're expensive when you do find them.
The lines don't seem to be cheap either. After >30 years, most of the original lines have had some rust issues, and now have holes. Brake lines are in the same category.

5th gen parts ('86 Caballero) != 4th gen parts ('73 Elky).
If NAPA has these straps for a 4th gen (I'll check tomorrow), I'll be VERY surprised.

I'll have to check naapa. I have a really good store close to the house. If they sell em for a 5th gen, I don't see why they wouldn't sell them for a 4th gen. They carry just about anything that's a wear part after all. check your local dealer first, Gm still has a lot of parts for older cars, and My parts guy told me and has proven even though GM discontinues them, doesn't mean they are unavailable. Dealers still have older D/C things in stock you just have who find out wwho still carries it. i.e.. My 83 K10, Needed fan shrouds and got them at the paddock for $40 ea and they were the wrong part., found out GM still has them (The right ones) for $35 ea and I didn't have to pay shipping! I also got a tank strap from My Dealer (sounds wrong don't it) for $18, always check into them first,.. you will be glad you did
