You have a L-30 327, 275 HP, which is really a 300HP Corvette engine, derated to 275HP because of the restrictive rear dump exhaust manifolds needed to install it in the Chevelle chassis. This is the engine I have in my 68 El Camino. It is the highest HP optional engine you could get in 1968 with a Powerglide. A 325HP 327 was available, L-79, but only with a standard shift.
