Don't get shorties, they suck. i had a hard time putting those in compared to a set of long tube race headers. i liked the afterburners the most, just a hammer and a set of 90 boot plug wires and you're set. the long tubes are easier to install, believe me.

Saying "the old lady won't let me spend the money", does that make you feel like your balls have been torn from your sac and held just out of reach? When i hear guys say somthing along the lines of "my wife won't let me" it makes me feel disgraced for being the same gender and knowing that his balls aren' there. If she's gonna get stupid about it ditch her, she's not worth having around.
