A while back, we lost some pictures I had of a customized '76 El Camino Grand Am.

This is one sharp vehicle... Cool

So, I thought I'd post them again in Grand Am Elco pictures

I had seen it on eBay around the September '05 time frame and didn't keep any of the details or contact info. I don't even know if it sold.

Not that I could've afforded it, but if anybody knows any details, please let me know.

Thanks,

Jay

Although I voted as disapprove, I respect the work and thinking that went into that car it really is done quite well. Its just not something I would want in my garage. Smile

No for me, and I ran it past my wife and she said "double disapprove".

I am impressed in the quality of workmanship though.

I can't decide. I kind of like the front end treatment but the Grand Am hood bulge is a bit much. That said I've always felt the 4th gen El Camino's and Malibus should have done more with the hood. A short cowl induction treatment like the 3rd gens had available would have been nice.

Pic does make it look like a top notch job but then the pics of my old blue paint job made it look great too. In reality it was the worst Earl Scheib mess I've seen next to the orange peel special they trotted out on a yugo years ago at a world of wheels show..

Happy

I didn't really feel like there was anything wrong with the stock front end, but whatever. Like everybody else has said, the workmanship is great, but I actually think it's pretty ugly. I think like a '69 T/A front end would be awesome.

I was never a real fan of the 4th generation. But I do like good workmanship.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I mean the workmanship looks great like everyone said, and it is quite visionary. Not a whole lot of people step outside the box like that. So I gotta say I respect it, but when I look at it I just think " Man, if that car had a pair of fins on the back it's be perfect for Batman."

I like it! I've actually thought about doing that with my 5th gen and an '80's Grand Prix.
