Everyone seems to be recommending the Air Ride kits, but they are soo expensive. I was thinking about an AirBagIt kit.

Welcome Adam, I doubt that an inexpensive air suspension exists. I would be uneasy about letting someone learn how while working on my car. Shop around. Also, the super sport option was available on all third gen's.

Flat silver would look like grey primer I would think.

Not sure about getting it to the ground but to do that you might need a body drop and some frame alterations.

I would look into some lowering springs and drop spindles.

Otherwise save the dough and have all the suspension components powder coated not re-chromed.

Flat Silver. Never thought of it myself. They had a car at the shop getting painted that color and it looked pretty sweet. They use a special clear ontop so the paint is nice and smooth when its done (but still flat in color).
