If I hear that new milennium line again I'm gonna
It's just an opinion. But in some respects you're right I don't care much
for what's available in new cars these days. I don't like eggs on wheels look, Fat looking trucks, or 26 inch "spinners" on a 4x4 Tahoe with rubber bands for tires. I mean Cmon that's just stupid, why bother with a 55K vehicle with 4WD (not AWD mind you) and then ruin it's capability.
That's why I have an 08 Mustang GT, I get new car with old car styling which is just the way I like it...
I've got nothing against the low-rider crowd. Some of the best paint jobs and bodywork I've ever seen anywhere have been on low-riders. They push the envelope and the rest of us follow when it comes to paint and bodywork. I appreciate the craftsmanship. You go try to find someone who can do a true pearl or metalflake paint job that will last five years, good luck...Still I'd never own a vehicle with that look. To me the color is a little too loud and distracts from the lines of the vehicle instead of enhancing it.
It's not exactly a progressive example either. Bright Candy paint has been around long before most folks on this forum. _________________ 74 El Camino Classic - project car #1

2008 Mustang GT, It ain't a Chevy but at least it's American!
Al Camino : Dude, its a nice ride. Its obvious a lot of work and dedication went into it and you have pride in what it is and what you have accomplished. There is a '64 Impala I see cruising around S Fla with identical paint/wheel scheme except the wheels are the other extreme, tiny... o o . Its the "East L.A."/ lowrider style, a whole different scene with its own merits and /or following and I'm cool with it. That being said, most Elkie afficionados, myself included, lean more towards the original or old school/muscle car look for them and would not be caught dead with that setup. If you want my advice, take those wheels off and sell/trade/put them in storage and install something more "traditional". I think the car then would appeal to a wider segment of prospective buyers. Good luck ! _________________ Chillin in Lauderdale
