Cranked car for first time today. Transmission fluid dripping out from around U-joints. Anyone got an idea what that could be from? Could it be the cap up in there that's leaking and it's running down from the U-joints. Just wondering if someone else knew.

The rear seal was replaced prior and it's dry as can be around the rear seal. This is from somewhere else.

Is this an automatic or manual trans?
I had a problem with the dipstick tube o-ring leaking on my TH350. Not sure if this is your problem, but worth checking into.

Was just getting ready to ask about TH350 leak and that O ring. Any chance you remember the size or part number. My trans would leak if it sat too long then after sitting for about a month finally dumped a bunch. Went to pull the stick, tube came with lol!!!

No, sorry, I don't remember the part number. But the guy at the local NAPA store knew exactly what I needed.

There's also an O-ring on the speedometer connection that can leak.

Just FYI, not saying that's the problem.

There is also a seal on the shifter shaft, left side of the trans.
