Does anybody know the oe part # for the inboard (2) & outboard (2) dash vent replacements? (spinners?)
I think GM still supplies them.....
I see them on the aftermarket guys sites, they are just reselling the OEM,s for their cut.
Thanks,
Bob

The two in the center of the dash are 14063264 and they are still available. The two outer ones are 14052445 but I think those may be discontinued.

As I recall, the vents have some sort of sponge rubber washers on the pivot pins. These washers deteriorate and lose their friction on the vents. The cure is replace the washers with some new self-made washers.

Thanks for the numbers, I'll try my local sources...

foam rubber maybe? I expect that's something all 5th gen owners experience, but most, like myself, just live with.

The washers were originally a felt like almost recycled insulation looking things.
I judt never had any luck with foams, tapes, (yes, I even tried the universal fixall Duct Tape!) or any other material. They'd be spinning free in a month or 2.

Here's a link to the replacements (at a marked up price)...

Thanks again,

My vents wouldn't stay turned where I wanted them when I bought my Elky so I just used some thin cork washers I found in my stash of stuff and they work like new now.
I figure some thin rubber washers would also work which you could find at your local hardware store probably in the plumbing section. O rings might even work too.

Back when I first got my Elky the vents would not stay put. As I remember the vents just pull straight out. I added a layer of black felt that had adhesive on the back. It is sold in a 8x10 inch sheet at hobby stores. Since it is black it is pretty much invisible in the dash. I added the felt over ten years ago and it still works perfect.

My local Chevy dealer got all deflectors 4 for me, those numbers are still good... (Just under $20 a piece)
Now the dash looks great, Except for the cracks on top...

Any sources?
