I am about to replace my factory seatbelts and retractors with a new factory set I got. How do you remove the rear panels covering them? I see that you have to remove the pillar trim and the scuff plate, but does the panel pop off or is it mounted with screws? I don't want destroy these panels taking them off, they are in excellent condition.

I actually am wondering the same thing... I think my driver's side belt is clogged with dirt/dust/fuzz or whatever it wont retract. I want to take it out, clean it, check it out before i send it away or buy a new one.

Well I went ahead and did it yesterday, I could wait for a response any longer. Its actually really easy. Remove the door scuff plate and the one screw on the underside of the panel (its on the interior edge closest to the vehicle centerline). Once that's done simply pull it straight out!
