I have a 1980 El Camino that I bought a few years ago to park my '68 and start work on it. After further inspection, I found that the frame was bad behind the driver's rear wheel, plus up front where the stabalizer bar is mounted on driver's side. The only reason I still have the car is because of the Z15 code on the cowl tag - which means this was a factory SS; when it was repainted, the emblems/decals were not re-applied. I have become unable to work on this car (or my '6Cool due to multiple neck surgeries, otherwise I'd be doing so!

This car is for sale - black over silver, maroon interior, floor shift auto, tilt, buckets; has a 350 Turbo, but either the trans or converter slip. No engine, as it had a mid-70's pass. car 350 in it that needs a cam (which I have a barely-used Crane Engergizer for).

Pix available on request, since I don't see a way to post them here...

If you decide to part it out, I'd be interested in the steering column.

That may be what happens - let me verify the tilt column; I'll post again later today (still trying to get going this morning). Check my profile - I'll post a pic there for anyone interested in the body.

Where are you located, how's the body, and how much for the whole car?

Sorry it takes me so long to get back to this - I can't sit at the computer for very long due to neck problems.

For the entire car, $1,000.00 - only because it's a factory SS;
For the steering column, fifty bucks; there's a fed ex next town over I could probably ship it from;
Interior, complete - two to five hundred, depending on what you take;
Body is rough around the wheelwells, but not too bad - no panel replacements necessary, I don't think, just a little sheet metal, bondo or fiberglass.

I am in East Troy, WI - halfway between Milwaukee and Beloit. I would much rather someone come here and "take what they need", as because of the above-mentioned neck problems, I really can't do much work on it - or I'd not be selling it!

My email is krogers13@wi.rr.com.

Thanks

Damn, I forgot - yes, it has cruise and air; though neither has the "under the hood" components, only the interior switches, etc.

Consider the steering column sold if you part it. PM or email me payment instructions. I still want it.

I may be intrested in whats left. I don't want or need the front clip or any of the interior other than the plastic. Door panels and dash not needed either.
I would prefer to have a rolling chassis to work with. ....and a clean title. Cool

GrandAmMan - I have a clean title; the car will be minus doors, interior and drivetrain - still want? When could you come and get? I'm heading outside today (before the rain here) to start stripping the interior. Five c-notes for the body, the steering column will be headed to toms84ss (as soon as I get shipping rates and it over to FedEx), and lastly, it does NOT have Air. My mistake.
