I have always liked Craigslist.org as an alternative to the local newspaper. I found my El Camino on Craigslist.

I was wondering if anyone else had heard that eBay just bought a 25% share of CraigsList.

Wall Street Journal Article

Personally, I hope this does not mean Craigslist will become just another Internet / Venture Capitol memory in the near future. The executives at Craigslist have been trying desperately to ensure those of us who use the site that they will continue to provide the service for free. But there have been too many others in the past that were not able to maintain thier "small business" appeal after a corporation has become involved. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

My 68 ELKO came from Craigslist. I've bought and sold 4 or 5 cars, trucks, and sportbikes on there. I would hate to see EBAY touch it
The only problem (I've ever had is being (flagged for no reason) although I do know of a couple of people that let themselfs get taken
Buyer Beware!
But I still don't want to see it changed
Donny

More like buying up the competition? I think Craig's List has cut into E-Bay tremendously.
