I just wanted to get a list of all the gen III/IV powered El Camino's on here. And what kinda numbers you got. Also want to know what other mods are done to your car.
while I'm using a 355, I'd like to someday maybe swap in a turbo'd 402 stroker, or LS7 to lay the smack down on anything that pulls up beside me. but the SBC fits my needs for cost effectiveness and simplicity for the time being. _________________

First Post on here.
I am building a 65 Elky on a Schwartz tube chassis, with a modded LS2 and T56. I should be firing it off this week. Glad to have found an Elky site.

1985 El Camino SS with a 2001 5.3L /4l60e and a 3.73 8.5" rear, performance tune by wait4me
Stock 98 F-Body torque converter. The car loves to hot lap and runs faster the more you hot lap it. Starting out it usually runs 14 flat, but if you hot lap it it will run 13.8`s.
Great as a DD in this config, got 14-17mpg in the city with a very heavy right foot . Drove it for ~20k miles in this config. Upgraded to a 6.0L now no track times yet, but I did put in a pseudo lean cruise and it gets better fuel mileage than the 5.3L . Now I get 15-19 in the city. _________________ www.fquick.com/G-Body
