Hey guys I have a 66 el camino with a 383 stroker with flowtech headers, 3" exhaust going straght back and dumped at the rear end with flowmaster delta force mufflers, so I would like to know is this exhaust pipe to big for what I have or shall I go with 2 1/2"? and I also was thinking of going with some super comp hooker headers, any input on this would be nice thank you.

Welcome Adam, to answer your question, NO, 3" is fine. You might want to consider having an "X" pipe or "H" Pipe installed if yor system doesn't have one.

Most likely you will have an H. Thats what my 72 has because an X would not fit correctly. personally I like the 2 1/2 inch because 3 looked too big

I find 3" better for race strictly, 2.5" is better all way around street and strip. Cause on teh streets your not WOT 90% of the time as where on the track your WOT 100% of the time. In theory this works. Id go with a 2.5" system with a X pipe IMO.
