Nope its not an Elky and some of you will probably will dislike it and cry about it. But thats fine cause I could care less about ur views on the car. The vehicle I will be purchasing this week hopefully (if all goes as we planned). I'll be making another trip to LA to pay for it and drive it back home. Its a 02 Subaru WRX in the World Rally Blue, has the turbo charged 2.0L boxer engine with AWD, 5spd, all power, tinted windows, has an aftermarket cold air intake and cat back exhaust. This has been my dream car for quite some time and I'm finaly getting one. Ima have the best of both worlds. Power, handling, and fuel economy!

Heres a little teaser from the sellers photo

When I get it ill post some more pics of it when its all cleaned up and what not!

Ahemmmm, This is called El Camino Central Snaggle, not El Import Central. Is that a trash bucket sticking to the back? No wait, it's an exhaust tip. Sorry, but surely you can see the simularity.

Naw, just bustin ya, you know that. If that's your dream, then by all means go for it. Nice when dreams come true huh...

I understand them little boogers, er buggers, are quite quick. Nothing like hammering down and getting 30mpg. Good for you, enjoy.....

Pretty nice, those engines are awesome for sandrails. Forget about the fuel mileage though, any car like that one might get ok fuel mileage when you're just cruising, but we all know what it's like to drive a fast car, you don't just cruise in them, you stomp a$$ in them!

Well Snaggle, just watch yourself. Just the other day I seen a nice little rat race going north on I-65 in Indiana. It was a 66' Chevelle and 3 Nim Rods racing there hearts out. The 396 Chevelle was not only holding it's own, but appeared to be sandbaging so the NimRods could catch up!!
Good luck with your Ride, Hope you keep your Elky.

Thanks for the replies guys. Picking the car up Wednesday. Yes the car may seem ugly but to me its butt ugly and pig pretty Smile.

My elky has been sold for the past 8 months now, sold it so I can persue my career in the Automotive field repairing cars. The car is rated at 23/29 mpg so if I keep out of 13.2psi on the start I think I'll be fine!

Good one Snaggle. Those "Rexes" as they are called here in OZ, have been available here since the mid '90s and have a strong following. The prices have progressively increased over the years and they are no longer the performance bargain they used to be, here in OZ.

I have heard that the fuel economy is not as good as sometimes claimed but I suppose that is if you use it to it's potential a lot. Also, look after that clutch as the AWD grip means on big launches something has to give.

You enjoy it mate.

I have a AWD Tucson with a small V6 the fuel economy rating is 24 mpg and it gets 16-17.
If you want fuel economy stay away from AWD
But you realy want the performance, right? Cool

Well I think the clutch isnt gonna burn up due to hard launchs I think its gonna burn up to me trying to learn stick better haha! Yeah hemi57 I've read that they are pretty popular in the outback! But this is gonna be my first car that I'll be financing and trying to keep nice looking so don't think I'll be giving it to much strain on the power/drive train.....At least I say that now!

Sweet! I had been wondering what happened with this, I remember you telling me about it via PM's a long time ago. Very cool! I love my '07 a lot. They are very rare cars down this way in So Cal too, I never see another one, ever. In Alaska you'd see 10 a day!

Here's mine, this was off Porterville Hwy on the way back to Bako from Famoso... Went to the Cali Hot Rod Reunion, it kicked rear end. Happy Wish I'd stayed for the Cacklefest, but I don't like driving at night since I'm still so new to the area down here!

Haha nice pic maddening! Yeah this is a pretty old thread, I've had it for about 3 months now and I love this car. I miss my elky especially since the guy moved around the corner from my house... But the car handles well and it does what I want in a daily driver car! Maybe in a few years I'll try to buy my old elky back and get that project underway...WHO KNOWS
