Hey guys I know this subject has been covered but I cant get it in my head
Trying to put in a Power____ alternator in my '65
So I unplug the volt reg. there are four wires there blue / black white / red and brown.
Red - goes back to horn relay- do what with that one ?
Blue - goes to generator - thats a given it just gets removed
Black white - same goes to gen. - gets removed
Brown - goes back to junction box - do what with tht guy ?
I have read some Chevelle site description that say connect the two outsiide wires - whihc doesnt make sense ( blk white and brown )
The "brown" wire runs the charge indicator light in the dash. You may want to run it to the alternator so that it will still work. Hooks to the relay terminal. Looking at the alternator from the rear that is the one on the right of the two spade terminals. _________________ 84 Elky with 455 Buick, Tremec TKO600 5 speed, 8.5 3:42 posi -

Another 3 to 9 years should finish it.
Thanks , the brown may go back to the indicator light but there is no hook up for another wire on the alt. This is a true 1 wire alternator not a newer GM version. 1 hot lead from the alt. to the battery thats it
