which is better to use for restoring my vehicle? ebay seems to have parts that are a lot cheaper but does the quality suck? for example I need to buy air shocks for my 1983 GMC caballero. I can get a rear pair on ebay for 70 bucks but on the elcaminostore.com I have to pay $130.00 for just one. What are your opinions?

Buying off of Ebay is always a risky - but in can be rewarding. Be sure your comparing similar products. Always a good idea to buy from the vendors that support this forum. Not sure if the El Camino Store is a supporting vendor?
Good luck. _________________ 77 HD Sportster

I've bought many items off Ebay, new and used and not just for the Elky, from small valve cover PCV grommets, on up to a Trans Am. I've gotten some really great deals. Look at the sellers feedback, if it indicates a high positive feedback percentage and he/she has sold many items...it's probably a safe bet. Whenever I need a part, I'll usually look there first. I did get burned twice...once on the item condition and once on the shipping charge. If a seller has numerous negative feedback comments then think twice before you buy from him.

I bought a brand new pair of air shocks (monroe) on E-Bay for my 87 for 17.00 + 12.00 shipping. Deals can be had. _________________ 1966 Impala SS 4 Spd. Conv.

Gabriel Air shocks are 64.99 at Autozone with airline kit. I would suggest using separate air lines to prevent air transfer though. Also lets you level the load or add a little more in the right rear for a better launch at the track!
When I replace mine (originals) I'm going with airlift bags and a good shock. _________________ "Still Just Truck'in"
