Greetings from Seattle. Currently I'm a former owner of a pair of 67 El Camino SS's. My finances are working out and I expect to be an El Camino owner once again by next summer. Of all the cars I've ever owned I miss my Caminos most of all. The first I had was a black with a very light silver metal flake (original color was black). The second was gold with a black Landau roof (stock colors) and was a self made SS (SS chrome added by me along with hood). The black was a factory SS. I have a total of 4 pics of both cars. My sister cut one pic up (for whatever reason). I'll share what I have.

Welcome aboard DJRick, those were nice Elks, hope the next one is even better. Good thing your sister stopped cutting when she did huh.... _________________ Mark

Yes, I pine every time I see a 67. I nearly came to tears a couple weeks ago when I saw a white 67 SS in excellant condition!! Something I found out sometime after buying my first Elk was the fact that there were only 2,000 factory made 67 SS's. I know how rare they are and to think that I had one! As mentioned, finances are such that I expect/hope to be an El Camino owner again by next summer.
I see you're from Down Under. I've been down under 4 times, to Sydney, the Blue Mtns, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Uluru! I miss it and the friends that I still keep in close contact with their.
Yeah those truck mirrors were a bit on the tacky side. That pic was taken shortly after I bought it. The guy I bought it from loved to go camping & towed a small trailer. That El Camino was the only car I ever made a profit on! I regret to say that I wrecked the black one, bending the front of the frameb (1976).
When I go shopping for another one, my first choice will be another 67. _________________ If you don't know where you are coming from,

Haha, typical. You have been to a place in Australia I haven't been to, Uluru (Aires Rock). I have the US well covered myself with all the roadtrips my wife and I have done over there.
Good luck with the hunt for the '67. _________________ John (from Down Under)
Thanks for the welcomes everyone! I see many of you have a variety of cars/toys. My daily driver is an 02 PT Cruiser. I decided when it was time to buy a new car, I'd keep the PT and keep it on the side for "collectible reasons." They only made the steel blue color for 2 years, not that many of them around. First, I'm going to get my hands on another El Camino!
