I was roaming ebay yesterday, just for fun. I looked at a 2nd or 3rd generation El Camino that said it had an inbed trunk option (showed it in the pictures). I was just wondering if anybody had heard of one before?

edit - I found the link. It's a 1970.

i dont think the Trunk in Bed option is from factory, i've seen a thread about this before, some real nice trunk type modifications.

but that's what they are, mods. do a search for trunks, it's in there somewhere.

The El Camino sits on the station wagon platform. On the wagon, that is where you put your feets when you set in the folding seat in the back. For the El Camino, the footwell is just covered with a sheet of bed floor that is bolted down. Making it into a trunk is a custom job like Mr C mentioned.
