i have a 78' with a mild 350(only cammed quadrajet carb stock heads full lenght headers and duals, everything else stock) has the 3rd member out of a bravada, my problem is this, i have a sick 700r4 where a th350 used to be, the car sat off n on four years and now the tranns is full of fluid, cable is adjusted right and it slips in all forward gears and reverse, im thinking of swapping for a manual and was thinking of going with a keisler kit i need opinions on if this is a worth while mod or get the 700r4 rebuilt, it will do minor towing and street running, no strip action that is planned!

If I had the money and all the right parts, I'd go with a manual. However, I priced a Keisler kit for my '79 a couple of years ago now and it totaled around $4,000 or so, so I stayed with my 200R4.

However, I am in the process of converting my '67 Nova from Powerglide to 4-speed so at least I'll have one manual shifted car in my garage.
