My first thought is to use MS Internet Explorer. This was a trap for me using Firefox. The Gallery is only compatible with IE. _________________ John (from Down Under)
I use IE, never had a prblem before. I was also using the largest resolution my camera has to make sure the pictures would meet the size requirement. _________________ Ol Paint and me

Tried again today and the screen went to something like the home page. At the top it said "sorry, but this module isn't active" _________________ Ol Paint and me

I feel your pain I have tried a couple of times over the past two days and get the same response. "sorry this feature is not active" I have up loaded pictures before and have also run into the same problems before. Not sure what the issue is. Harald K

I just uploaded my entry into the gallery for the 2009 Calendar. I struck the same "module is not active" message and then realised I was using Firefox D'oh.
Fired up IE and all went smoothly.
I recommend you PM Poltergeist as this thread does not seem to be attracting the attention of the people with the indepth knowledge of using the gallery. _________________ John (from Down Under)
i use firefox all the time. i actually prefer not to use any more microslop than i absolutely have to. i have posted several pictures so far by simply pulling them from photobucket. html has to be turned on in your preferences, is that what you are having problems with?

Uploading pictures to the Gallery is different from displaying a picture in a post. I use Firefox and Photobucket to display pictures in post no worries.
The Gallery functions differently, you actually upload pictures there straight from your "source" (HDD). It will only work with IE. _________________ John (from Down Under)
I've complained about this in the past also but every time I did someone "yelled" at me
I did a little research and was told by the developer of the software used here that it is very very out of date and subject to these types of problems. Also if you use a Mac you're out of luck. It used to work but not for a long time now.
Just send them directly to Poltergeist and he'll post them for you. _________________ Leo

there you go. just send everything to the head guy, when he gets tired of all the work, he can do something about this. i have never heard of this problem on internet forums before. i dont think that its a browser issue _________________ Rob Tabish

There are 2 problems with your pictures:
1. They are too small to be used for the calendar, they are below the 1200x900 minimum needed for the calendar.
2. From the size of the file I'm going to guess that they are basically straight from the camera. Cameras are great at taking pictures but lousy at saving them in format. You would need to open them with any graphics program and save them (no changes needed). Then you would be able to upload them.
Would have replied earlier but I just got back into town and I'm catching up with all the sites I go to. _________________ '82 El Camino with an LT1 from a 95 Impala SS
The ones I posted in the other thread are from photobucket and probably resized there. I initially uploaded them from "My Pictures" jpg file saved from my new Sony H50's largest size which is supposed to be good for 13x19" prints. I did also try directly from the camera after the usual method didn't work. I'll try again and see what happens.
UPDATE
Just tried again with no success.
I attempted uploading the full size jpg from files in "My Pictures". After a long pause I got the ECC page with "this module is not active" message at the top.. _________________ Ol Paint and me
