Just installed one of the finest bed covers I've ever seen. When you consider the shape and configuration that a 5th generation El Camino requires for a good looking cover, this one is by far one of the best.
Even though it is a framed soft cover it fits as well as a hard cover without all the weight or bulkiness. It fits flat on the trim which gives it a very clean made for the car look. It takes a bit of time to put it all together but if you follow the directions it all comes together nicely. The people at www.Craftecinc.com are great to deal with and the shipping is fast and reasonable. I got the carbonfiber look and it looks fantastic.
I will need to take a couple of pictures and put them in the gallery page 5 , Texas Pride. This cover really sets off the new paint and up dated appearance.

From start to finish took about 4 hours. It might not have taken quite as long if it had not been so hot, Texas and all. The price depend on the color you get. Plain Black is $299.00 if I remember correctly shipping is a flat rate $29.00. It gets to you in less than a week and it is a pretty good size box.
The quality of the materials is very good and it comes with a three year warranty. I was very impressed with all of it. Harald K

Right now I'm leaning towards black,I guess.Warranty sounds great! I'm in Washington State...we're still waiting for the actual summer to get here. _________________ '79 Chevy Corvette,350 sbc- '78 Olds Cutlass Supreme,350 sbo'- 99 Mitsubishi Galant,3.0 V6- '84 Chevy El Camino Conquista,305 sbc

I also just installed one of these. Took several hours to install it and adjust it just right but it looks great and functions very well. I even relocated the struts several inchs towards the front of the bed and this allows for the top to open up even higher.
Great and inexpensive product.

I mounted mine along with bed rails however had to place about a 1/2" bushing on my bedrail mounting plates so that the cover would lift up without hitting the rails.but still nice and sturdy and looks great with the rails installed.
There a good cover i have had mine for for over a year and 1/2 wish it had a better way to releise the cover to open it up and it needs a spoller on it all in all its a great cover get a lot of good replys from it
