Does it read too high on the dipstick ?? If so .. I would change the filter and let the level come down .. then check it again.

Too much oil can cause oil to get past the rings .. and cause it to creep past rear & front crankshaft seals.

thanks for the response it does read pretty high. the other filter is right here i just need a tool to take the othere one off. just the oil in the filter will come out when i take it off? i wont get most the oil pouring out?

The oil filter is way above the oil pan level, so just the oil in the filter is what will be reducing the amount of oil in the engine. How much depends on which filter was installed, one filter holds a little more oil than the shorter version. Don't have the part numbers handy right now.

thanks guys still couldent get the darn thing off but i loosened the nut and let out like a 1/4 quart out not it reads fine. it the original dip stick there no clear indication where the full mark is. thers a 8 on the bottom of the stick that reads add then a 8 on top that says full. no indication line. i guss right underneath the secound 8 is where its suposed to be.
