so just picked up a 76 camino classic, and i have to power brake hard to get it to stop without stalling. what could be the causes for this, and then what would be the solutions? any help is appreciated!!!

i dunno, the car is sound, i was told that the air /gas mix might be off, what it is that once i dont press on the gass it stalls out, i dont know anything about cars, i fell in love with the body style, so i bought one

Sounds like a bad brake booster. You can sometimes hear a sucking sound under the dash when lightly using the brake.
When you press hard it closes off valves internally. Lightly it doesn't.
Does the engine RPM change when pressing the brake in park? If so then brake booster. _________________ Robert Adams
