You're going to have to wait awhile before GM comes out with a car 5-speed auto. Chrysler just announced that 5-speed automatics will be availible for the car line. Some foreign cars (BMW) and some domestic light trucks (Ford) have had 5-speed automatics for a few years but nothing that could be used in your Chevy. _________________ 1979 El Camino\r\n1955 Chevrolet Del Ray\r\n1962 Corvette\r\n1966 Corvette Coupe

Did you mean the 5speed manuals. there good trannies(stock) if you like to powershift alot, if not I would suggest a Borg-warner tranny. _________________ do you bleed blue bowties?

yea this is all wrong here...when my dad wa stalkin to me he was tellin me some diff stuff and i got it all mixed up and junk but i need a good 4 speed automatic that isnt gonna light my wallet on fire if ya know what i mean. any suggestions?
A good 700R4 or 200R4 will run between $1,300 to about 1,600.00 with all the trimmings. A good torque converter will add more cost. Then the Crossmember change and the Driveshaft change. My guess is your going to spend around $2,500.00 maybe more.
