Glasspacks are great if you like that old time blat..tty exhaust sound. Personally I like the more modern deeper sound of Flowmasters or similar mufflers. Besides those glasspacks, even though they sound loud, are not very efficient and provide less performance than a modern muffler design. _________________ 1979 El Camino\r\n1955 Chevrolet Del Ray\r\n1962 Corvette\r\n1966 Corvette Coupe
so what is the difference between sound and performance of a two chamber and a three chamber muffler like the flowmaster? _________________ They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I have hooker 1 3/4" primaries into 3" collectors with 2.5" pipes with cutouts and flowmaster 40's. the best sound was just off the muffler in front of the rear axle. the only problem for me was the extreme resonanse frequency in the cab so I had turndowns put on. it eliminated the resonance and the car is still very loud. glasspacks makes the car sound like an old farm truck imo.

I agree--the "blatty, blatt" of most glasspacks are not music to my ears. _________________ 1979 El Camino\r\n1955 Chevrolet Del Ray\r\n1962 Corvette\r\n1966 Corvette Coupe
