The sun finnaly came out for a few seconds here in the northwest luckily I was at a car show when it happened and got some pics!
Also put a few up there of my recent fun with restoring aluminum valve covers... Check it out!
Sorry no updates to my webpage yet... I'm lazy. I also sold my 60/40 bench seat, have some temporary after market buckets installed right now(same as what was installed in my old 69)
Also- Got my BMR Fabrications tubular rear control arms & 1" Rear sway bar installed too! This thing handles like a slot car now!!! _________________ Ben Rambow

Hey Ben, very nice ride! That is one nice paint job. I use polish from Zaino Brothers to get mine to have that wet look shine. What kind of polish or wax do you use? _________________ JW - NECOA #768 2011 El Camino SS - http://elcaminocentral.com/users/a73elkyss/.

Thanks for all the comments guys!
Heh... Lemme answer these in order
A72Elky - I use Meguiars multi step stuff, Rubbing Compound, Pure polish, Pure wax- if it is really bad, i start with their machine clean heavy rubbing compount, then do the other 3..
Believe it or not, the car has not been waxed since last summer! I was so busy with the show i did not have a chance to do anything other than wash it beforehand!
87SS - Been major busy with work, they want us to get a release out in 3 months what should take 6-9 months... arg! Not much time for goofying off unfortunagly(cause i'm damn good at it!) Moved into the new place, a little better than before. Still has a tiny 1 car garage, but its bigger than my old tiny one car garage! I have room in this one for a small workbench in front of my car! Of course i have to back it out to GET to the bench... but thats another story
phillyttops - Actually both cars have basic 350 crate motors in them, although the 70 is going to be getting new heads and a cam this summer!
ElkySS- Hey Dan, the show was a little smaller this year, the weather in the morning was really bad, raining etc etc, but by the afternoon it was awesome- well you can see that in the pics we had 115 total cars... This will be the last year at this location(they are building an albertsons there) we have had the show there for the last 9 years... so next year it will be tough to get the word out about the new location and stuff enough to have a decent turnout... There was a photographer from CHP there- although the guy would not take a pic of my car! ARRRG! Thats what i get for parking next to the 71 elky with the whole engine bay chromed & polished! I have a bunch of pics from the show, i will try and get them uplodaed to show off
87ElCamino- Just got them finished this past monday(going over to my friends place with a buffer to do them) I'm still not happy with the inbetween the fins area, so this next weekend i am going to work on that a little more, then they'll go on the car
Its funny, if you look at the pics of my old 69- i had the same covers. When i sold the car, the guy barganed the price to keep them(i wanted to take them)... I had been kicking myself since then... Took me a year to finnaly win one of the ebay auctions for them... Arg. :p _________________ Ben Rambow
