My worse ride was an El camino....just kidding, wait gotta make sure no one had a heart attack there.... Seriously it would be my old 1992 Dodge Dakota the thing would just die every now and then. Replaced almost every little thing on it, even the dealer had no clue what was wrong does that tell you something? they wanted me to leave it there so they could figure it out....yea riiiiiiight so thats when I got my Elky and speaking of I am new to this site but I just transfered ownership today I am part of the club. The elky is NIIIIIIIIIICE, I see just why you guys love'em. Sorry for the bad joke, but hey I couldn't resist. Happy

Sounds like that Dodge had a bad charcoal canister or possibly the vent line to the gas tank was sucking in atmosphere and it is possible that you're having water buildup (Condensation) in the tank. When it finally gets sucked in to the fuel line it dies.

Try putting a Glass Filter on the line just before the fuel pump and watch that. I've seen this happen with that type of truck. I could also be exactly wrong. My point is this:

Welcome to El Camino Central and NECOA, Good that you finally got a Chevy and even better that you chose an Elky! Welcome aboard!
