I'm a new member, I joined a few months ago. How do you remove the Heater box? I have a 1983 El Camino Conquista. This is what I have done so far, I removed the cover, blower motor and all the hoses and connections inside the engine bay. Basically I have the thing hanging but it still won't come out. I still want to put one in so I don't want to ruin anything, i just need a new box.
Josh, there's a few really knowledgeable guys on this forum. I am not one of them, so cannot help you. Some of the guys travel a lot and might not be able to check in frequently. Josh, If I m following you correctly, Make sure ALL the screws that secure the box to the firewall are OUT. Those on the bottom are hard to see and get to. Use a mirror and light to verify they are all out. In my 86 after I removed all the fasteners, I had to manipulate it just right to come out of the hole it is in by the exhaust manifold. _________________ 86 El Camino SS Z15 / Posi / 305-V8-4bbl
