Got an 78 el camino. I need to know what the distance between the ceter of the rim and the lip of the wheel well. This is in the back. I mounted some big wheels and they wont fit! I need to know if my springs are shot or if I need an upgrade! I dont want to just buy hd springs when the regular will work. Mine are still the original so the may be worn out.

What size wheels did you use? There's been lots of discussion here on what size will fit.

I think it is actually 14.5" roughly 29" overall from ground to fender well lip on stock suspension.
