I'd rather see this classic elky put on a 4x4 frame....or a '68/72 elky frame. Hard to believe someone would go to this kind of trouble...and end up with that as an end result. I own a '99 explorer and a '68 elky and would NEVER put the two together...the thought will NEVER cross my mind!
I think it is terrific!!!!! I give them an A+ for creativity. Thats the great thing about car collecting--some guys are purists and want it all original----and there are those who would laugh at them---than there are those who build it into a street rod and thay get laughed at--I say--
build it the way you like and the he.. with everybody else's opinion.

Since when is Explorer running gear "State of the ARt" What school of art do they refer to..Cave paintings?
I have to say that is an abortion of effort if I have ever seen one. I could have lived with the running gear thing if it was between crusher for the body or that but the dash just looks too stupid. Somebody took the cheap route on that one and didn't want to do the work to modifiy the original Dash.
I bet it looks worse in person. Can't believe the pictures were taken on a chevy dealer's lot!
.....We need to get a puking smiley in the list..... _________________ 74 El Camino Classic - project car #1

should have used a Caddy frame and running gear, or at least a big Buick or something if you want plush and riding comfort. _________________ Mike Stevens,
