Hello, I am new to this message board and I hope this is the right place to ask this question. I am wanting to put 16" or 17" wheels on a 85 Elky. What would be the correct backspace to use for these size rims?
Also, What would be a good set of shocks to use for a stock height car? I have removed the air shocks and put gas charged on the rear and the car is level from front to back. Is this normal or did they have a little rake to them like a pickup truck?
Sorry for all the questions at once.
Thanks,
Shaggman1 Happy

This link will probably answer your questions about wheels and tires.

Most El Caminos I've seen only have a rake if the rear air shocks are pumped up. It should sit fairly level without air shocks.
