What does the rubber insulator(s) on the coil springs do or supposed to do on the coil springs, i only had one and that was on the passenger side of my car when i took everything out to redo the front end.

Supposedly, It's supposed to keep the springs from making noise when they're mounted in the lower A-Arm. Without it it's possible for the spring to move around a bit and rub on the spring mount which could result in a squeak. You'd notice it mainly going over a pothole or a speed bump. Most people that tear apart the front end don't usually put them back in as they are usually in poor shape when they come out. _________________ 74 El Camino Classic - project car #1

Yup, they stop the spring from spinning and act as a cushion to stop squeeks. I replaced mine with new when I rebuilt my front end. -Matt _________________ Outta Control High Performance Customs
