What does the rubber insulator(s) on the coil springs do or supposed to do on the coil springs, i only had one and that was on the passenger side of my car when i took everything out to redo the front end.

Supposedly, It's supposed to keep the springs from making noise when they're mounted in the lower A-Arm. Without it it's possible for the spring to move around a bit and rub on the spring mount which could result in a squeak. You'd notice it mainly going over a pothole or a speed bump. Most people that tear apart the front end don't usually put them back in as they are usually in poor shape when they come out. Smile

Yup, they stop the spring from spinning and act as a cushion to stop squeeks. I replaced mine with new when I rebuilt my front end. -Matt
