Hey peoples? Does anybody know how to get the back of a lighter set-up out of the dash of a 67. Been standing on my head for an hour and can't quite seem to get my hands on the bugger. You don't have to take the whole guage cluster out I hope. Needing the pwer for portable cd player. Don't even know if the wires hooked up. Defroster duct is in the way and can't even see it.Anybody know any secrets?

I have a '68, so I don't know if they are similar... Can you remove the retaining ring from the front of the lighter and pull the lighter forward and out to get to the wiring?
