Hi all,
have a 81 elcamino which does not have any blower action when the switch is in the high position. How do I go about trouble shooting this?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Tim

Fuse or relay typically if you have all the other speeds.

Hate to disagree with you Engineer but if you had a blown fuse or a bad relay you wouldn't have any fan speeds.

This depends on how the wiring circuits are setup.

On many of the A/C cars there is a seperate power and switching relay just for high speed. Blow the power fuse of burn out the relay and no high speed. Although it would seem possible that the failure mode would be a slower fan rather than no fan depending on how low speed fan switch contacts make or break on high speed.

Now for non-A/C cars you statement is entirely correct Smile

Maybe I don't know where it is but I can only see one relay for the AC blower motor on my 1979 El Camino. Do other 5th Gens have two relays and where are they located?
