does anybody know if 82-92 f-body springs will work in a 5th gen el camino?. Will they be better or worse for performance? just cant pay $200-$300 for after market springs.

I'm not sure about F-body but if you can find rear springs out of a Malibu wagon, or any Monte with F-41(SS) option, will give you same lift as aftermarket. I used Big block front springs from an A body on mine and just cut off one coil for a stock height but firmer ride.

Yes the front springs will fit.

F41 is not the SS option. It is the heavy duty suspension option.

Do not use MCSS rear springs. They are shorter than other G-body springs and will make your El Camino "squat" in the rear.

The f-body rear spring is a single pigtail configuration. The g-body springs have a pigtail on top and bottom.
