Anyone have any knowledge on R134 alternatives such as
EnviroSafe http://autocool-refrigerants.com/
or Freeze 12 http://www.freeze12.com/ _________________ 1985 El Camino

In a nutshell...don't waste your money. These refrigerants are blends, meaning that once you develop a leak in your system, (which you will,) the blends will "fractionate." Due to the very nature of automotive a/c design and usage, you will seep a small amount of charge of the course of time. All seals and hoses in mobile a/c applications are rubber, coupled with extreme temperature changes and vibration in the engine bay means expansion and contraction resulting in refrigerant loss.
A blended refrigerant, when introduced into a mobile a/c system will leak out the smaller molecule of the blend, (fractionation,) rendering the remainder of the blend useless, and most be recovered and returned to the manufacturer for processing.
The EPA has approved several alternative refrigerants for use in mobile a/c applications, but, all alternative refrigerants must also be used with dedicated recovery equipment, gauges and service fittings.
The only two refrigerants approved by all auto makers and aftermarket a/c parts manufactures is R12 and HFC134a. Put anything other than these two in your system, and all warranties are off.
