hello all, as you all can see i'm from the persian gulf. I just finished customizing my motorcycle and now i'm looking into buying an el camino. what i have in mind is a 1970 ss, between $5000- 7000. i'm looking for something in a good condition, but mainly, i want to put a new engine and transmission, new paint job, and new interior, so on. now to the question, i here i can get about 400 horses out of a 350, what would i need to add or do to the engine to get such power, and what kind of a tranny would be sufficient? how much would it cost? also with such an engine how fast will the car go? although you guys have probably answered this question a million times before, just bare with me and answer it once more or tell me where i can find the info, you're help is very much appreciated since this will be the first classic/musclecar i get.

thanks,
