Does anyone happen to know the paint codes for the original rally wheels on a 86 El Camino?

Thanks,
Eddie

The paint color is Argent Silver. You can buy it in a spray can from Original Parts Group.

Does anyone know if someone sells die-cut masking to make refinishing the '86 style rally wheel a bit easier? I sprayed a silver first coat and then tried to mask off the silver to paint the grey but just can't seem to get all those curves cut nicely. Any and all suggestions & ideas welcome.

Have you thought about getting them powder coated. They do most colours now and it's a lot more durable than paint. It is a more expensive option but will outlast paint by a long shot.

Hope this helps,
Roger

86 Caballero, Check out Eastwood Company's website. I just looked at thier catalog the other day, and I know they do carry the wheel masks. Don't know if they have the one you need, I'm not famliar with your style rim. They also carry the correct Rally paint. IMO they've got the best spray paints on the market. Hope it helps....

It was one of the biggest bears to complete ... painting the wheels to get them correct. It took hours just getting the steel ready for paint. Take your time and watch for too much spray at the start and make sure you do not skip any of the pre paint steps. Get it primer painted first and you will have to buff out that too!! then paint only when it is over 70 degrees out for a better finish. Use a semigloss black automotive style a good bet is a house of Kolor because they have the best looking finished product hands down above any other manufactures. and silver cloud is the name of the paint I used for the cutouts.
