My reverse lights aren't working, but the brake lights work. Could this be a neutral safety switch problem? ThanX in advance.

Check the reverse light switch on the lower part of the steering column. I think it's white. Sometimes the switch comes loose.

My 86 had the same problem, it was simply that the lights had actually burnt out, probably the easiest fix you could hope for. worth a try at least.

I think on my 75, there are two wires that come out of that switch; one is the back up light switch and the other is the neutral safety switch. You may want to check if the car starts in drive. My reverse lights don't work because when the gearshift was moved from the steering column to the floor, the new gearshift was not hooked up. Also, there might be corrosion in the bulb housings.
