Hey all Calgary Caminos, how do you all feel about an impromptu get together at the end of the summer? Sure not all our rides are finished and mines not even started but bring the rust rods, the daily drivers, and the show cars out and just meet each other. Maybe track down some other caminos in and around the city that don't know about ECC and ask them about at meet and greet? Nothing to formal maybe just ask someone with a parking lot if they'd mind and grab some lunch or something....maybe Peter's? Just a thought, let me know. _________________ Proud Diablo and not that Lamborghini kind |

well it's nice to know someone else in Calgary is on here. I'm in the SW. I know there are others in the city and surrounding areas. I'm always trying to hunt them down to say hi but we seem to be in limited numbers on this site. What's your ride like? _________________ Proud Diablo and not that Lamborghini kind |

well, she runs but she's got a fair bit of cancer. interior not so bad. 2 tone silver and black and everything is stock. I'm the third owner and it was originally sold in Red Deer (or so I'm told). I'm hoping to get some work done this year but I'm not going to go crazy, it is a daily driver and sometimes a hauler. She's no show car but she's great and she's mine. I'll keep an eye out for ya I'm occaisonally around that part of town. What are your specs? _________________ Proud Diablo and not that Lamborghini kind |

Hey, that's the trick eh? I know I don't have the money to do what I'd like to do but everything in time right? Sounds like your sitting pretty with only a little rust. congrats. I don't think I'm going to the car show-I hadn't planned on it anyway. Did you work on the engine yourself? what color is your ride? I think we should meet up come summer the few of us that are around Calgary. Keep it in the back of your mind. _________________ Proud Diablo and not that Lamborghini kind |

have you condsidered buy a rebuilt/remanufactured 350? I know lots of folks say if you're gonna dump that kind of money just get it new-But-if you're on a budget you can get the engine and beef it up as you get the cash. Also Firebolt has like a 3 or 5 year warranty on their engines so it's protected as good as a New engine. Just something to consider. I'd love to get more power but I've decided just to keep the 305 and make her as smooth as possible. The price of gas may even get me to change to a 2bbl carb. I like my Diablo because of what it is not just because it can burn rubber
Just my .02 but it might be an option to consider. _________________ Proud Diablo and not that Lamborghini kind |

In Calgary? I'd go with Cetus/Firebolt. The have a shop in the north and one in the south. They warranty their work and I know someone that's had an engine rebuilt there and he said the do good work. I've gone to visit the North shop and they're really nice. even suggested a shop in Strathmore if I wanted to get body work/resto work done. They also do rebuilds but Strathmore might be a bit far from you-I don't know. check out their website and visit a shop-good luck!
