1968 SS El co
replaced old 3 core with a 4 core "Be Cool," all went well but top isolators won't fit. If I add them then the top plate cover won't mount properly to the fan shroud. Too high. What am I doing wrong, and am I making a huge mistake by driving the car without them? Right now it's basically plate cover flush to the radiator. Metal to metal! Bottom isolators worked fine.

If your's are anything like when I did that to my 5th gen the rubber needs to be ground or cut down to fit the top of the new radiator. The shop I bought my raditor did it for me with a bench grinder. _________________ '82 El Camino with an LT1 from a 95 Impala SS

A pretty uncomplicated part; I've made isolators from pieces of rubber hose. _________________ 1979 El Camino\r\n1955 Chevrolet Del Ray\r\n1962 Corvette\r\n1966 Corvette Coupe
