I've got a 1986 El Camino that just rolled over 100,000 miles. This has been in the family since new. I've just started driving it and know a few things need to be done. Anything I need to be on the lookout for with a 19 year old car with 100,000 miles.

Dry rot, excessive rust, faulty wireing, vacuume leaks, carbon deposites, corrosion. The list goes on. Laugh

Replacing the vacuum hose(s)/line(s) is one thing that's on my to do list. I'm going to clean up a little under the hood. The smog pump froze up a long time ago and the belt was removed. The cat. converter was gutted after it got stopped up last year. I'm thinking of doing one of 2 things, put on a set of headers or remove the smog tube's and plug the exhaust. When I get all that stuff out of the way I'll check the vacuum stuff. I've just about made my mind to plug the exhaust and add dual's. Now do I want those Flowmaster Delta Flow 50 series or stock type mufflers.
