I've got a question on removing the seatbelt bracket on a 79 elky, the one that holds the seatbelt on top of the seat, it mounts onto the headrest, its triangler in shape,it seems to be plastic but you can't see the 2 screws that hold it on, do you squeeze it together or pry it apart, I don't want to wreck anything, thanks Dan

Hmmm, triangular in shape? Now the ones I used to have were held on the headrest by two chrome screws, one on the top and one on the side. When you undid the top screw it would split and you would be able to slide the belt between the gap. Now there are some where the belt just rests on it and does not slide through the hole. Are you able to post a picture of it? It being triangular in shape leads me to believe that it is only meant for the belt to "rest" on it and not go through the hole.

The screws are hid under the plastic? I haven't ever come across something like that. As for pictures, get a photo bucket acount and attatch your pictures there. Copy the URL that the photo is listed under then click the icon with the little mountain and sun in it when you are posting your reply, then past the URL. That is how I did it. Had to trial and error a bit but I got it.

I finnally got the bracket out of the headrest.....you have to pry up on the bottom and give it a quarter turn clockwise... then you can get to the screws,Dixie malibu has new ones in case anyone is looking to replace theres.
