This is just a heads up for all of you New England members that next Sunday (April 9th) is the 20th Annual Ty-Rods Spring Swap Meet at Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Springs Connecticut. If you've never been to it, you're missing out on one of the biggest and best Spring Swap Meets in New England. _________________ Ernie

Received this via email. Any thoughts? Steve's email is k0xp@dandy.net

Anyone know whether you can just drive in and park, or do you have to pre-register to sell at the swap meet? The web site doesn't seem to say. And what time does it open?

Most of the larger vendors get there on Saturday afternoon to get a good spot to set up, since the Swap Meet starts at 7AM Sunday. However, there are many smaller trucks loaded with treasures pulling in on Sunday AM. _________________ Ernie

I'll be there, got a big list of things I need to get this car done! _________________ 1975 El Camino Ground up Resto Complete 7-17-07 Scaldinghotelcamino.com
Just got home from the swap meet. Bought a few new brand name tools for cheap $, got a couple of really nice 86-88 MCSS rims for a song, and an OEM urethane SS front spoiler for a good price.
I saw my first "running" 83 El Camino with an original 350 diesel. One of the vendors had driven it to the swap meet to sell his treasures. They are pretty rare in their original state as many owners opted to convert from diesel to a gas engine.
I met several potential new members of ECC and gave them the site URL. I hope they check us out and become NECOA/ECC members. _________________ Ernie

I'm glad someone scored! I just got a chrome master cylinder cover that you could buy all day long at JEGS!
I was very disappointed that a lot of the venders that are usually there where not. _________________ 1975 El Camino Ground up Resto Complete 7-17-07 Scaldinghotelcamino.com
